At
a Read Me a Song class, parents and children learn
together to use music to practice important early literacy skills.
Children work on skills such as phonological awareness, vocabulary
development, alphabetic knowledge, print awareness, book knowledge
and comprehension. The children will sing, move, and play instruments,
and will bring stories to life though song and movement. This class
will reinforce pre-k and kindergarten literacy skills.
At
a Sing Me a Story class, parents and children use
music to practice important early language skills. Children gain
exposure and practice in all aspects of language including the social
uses of language, sounds of letters and words, grammar, vocabulary
development and single and multiple word use. Singing, movement
and instruments provide the ideal motivation to support emerging
language skills. Parents learn valuable strategies that can be easily
incorporated into every day routines to maximize skill practice
opportunities.
Music Time Babies and Toddlers
Musicians are made not born! Lay the foundations for a life filled
with music. Sing, play, move and listen to music together while
learning basic musical concepts. Share special time with your baby
as you learn simple songs, finger plays, toe and tummy tickles,
bouncing songs and lullabies. Learn strategies for teaching sign
and verbal language through music and learn ways to incorporate
music learning into everyday life in order to nurture the budding
musician in every child.
Music

and learn ways to incorporate music learning into everyday life
in order to nurture the budding musician in every child.

an evening of music making as family. Spend quality time together
as you sing songs, dance, play instruments, and move creatively.

and language skills. This class is perfect for families with more
than one child.
